BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Congragulations are in order for Racing Guide for winning the official Programme Guide for STC for the next 2 years. It mirrors the improvement in Management decisions made by the forward thinking current Management Team to change what was previously thought to be a "sacred cow" that Punters Way cannot be dislodged from the former pedestal and it is just reward for Racing Guide.s ascendency in tipping prowess sinced being taken over by Steve Levar and his brand new company(renamed iRace Media Pte Ltd) for the past 4 seasons . I still have a minor bugbear with Racing Guide and I feel they should keep official track of their own scores on a consistent basis in their publication instead of leaving the reader guessing blindly what their updated score is) They are my early tip to win the top tipster award this year although strong contender Xiu Fang of Shin Min ( if she keeps hers focus and attention with no distractions) currently in the lead in the Winner 21 Challenge woth a 7 win lead may have a thing or two to say about that. Anyway I predict that whoever wins the other will form the forecast thereby shading Singapore Nap, Andrew Frost, Winner21, Brian Miller and the rest who were in the Top 5 for last season. Singapore Nap will definitely improve from its present lowly position of 2 wins/4placings from 12 selections) position to be a top 5 candidate for best strike rate at the end of the season. Andrew Frost despite the slow start has not lost his touch and I expect him to be in the Top 5 at least!
I am very proud of the fact that Singapore Nap and Starstatz Racing not only tipped the winner Huka Falls as a 3 *** special (X2) bet but tipped the direct forecast as well despite El Padrino being the 6th favourite in the race and was rewarded with a direct forecast payout with an investment of only $4 ( big bet recommended on 7#6-2) and only $2 on Starstatz Racing (7#6) . The tierce of $328 and Quartet of $1803 was achieved with a budget of $24 for Singapore Nap and $12 for Starstatz Racing by using one banker and 2 key horses on 2nd line and one key horse on 2nd line for Starstatz Racing and $80 for the quartet for Singapore Nap and a mere $60 for Starstatz Racing. As predicted 2nd favourrite Speedy Cat failed to finish in the money because of his weak HR figures as well as the outside barrier draw.
Tan Thean Loon , Xiu Fang and LS (Longshot) are in a 3 way fight for the lead with 5 wins from 12 selections.
PREVIEW OF RACE
Race 3 is surprisingly the highest prize money race of the day together with Race 2 but Race 2 is a weak betting race with 2 many unknowns and many of the fancied runners are drawn wide!
The pace of the race is expected to be fast and may just suit classy Providence who happens to have the best HR and is the most expensive (NZ $180K) horse among the 3 main contenders but he has weak sectionals and Moreira who won on him has deserted hm for the ride on Tom. It is either an indication of true intentions or a smokescrren to make the dividends of providence higher but I believe he will be Walkers primary hope instead of Hillybilly Bear! The Media favouritism reads as 5-3-1-4 but I believe 3 is the weakest horse among this lot despite his AUS$120K price.
My pick Tim has a superior HR to 1 and 3 and his conversion SF over 1200M is the best in the race at 1:05.601 compared to 1 at 1:05.95....3 at 1:06.06 and 4 at 1: 06.28 but dont forget that the SF was done from barrier 12. Hillybilly Bear has the best 1100M sectionals in the race and 5 has the best sectionals at 1200M.
I recommend a big each way bet on 5 and a medium cover bet on 4 if he does not land up as 2nd favourite. In order my selections are 5-4-1-3-7-6. I suggest using 5 as the sole banker on the 1st line and 4-1 as the key horses on the 2nd line with the remaining selctions on the 3rd and 4th lines and as a cover use 4/5/ on the 1st and 2nd lines and the remaining selections on the 3rd and 4th lines. If you have a big budget use 5 as the sole banker and the remaining selections on the remaining 3 lines. I suggest using 5#4 as the main big bet for forecast/place forecast and a medium cover on 1#5-4. If place forecast is canelled skip this race and just concentrate on 5#4 for forecast.
