Starstatz Racing 30 September 2011

As a reward for my loyal fans for today only I shall be providing more than 4 horses(for direct comparison with other tipsters please use the 1st 4 picks) to help them strike the tierces/quartets. As an added bonus the 1st 2 picks will be meant as a reference comparison in my application to be a fund manager in an overseas centre in HKG or Australia. It means I will avoid eating the 1st horse and eat less on the 2nd horse in such a way that should the 2nd horse win I will still be smiling and balance the books in such a way that the value of the other dead horses will fund the payout to my 2nd pick. If my 1st pick comes in I will reap handsome rewards by eating the rest of the horses!.In open races i will declare eat all ie I will recommend to collect tickets on every horse but less on the 1st 2 picks. I will not adopt the "BAGMAN" feature every week but add it in as a feature when I see fit. Neither will the more than 4 horses list appear every week but fans can subscribe to the average 7 horse list by sending an email to insiders111@yahoo.com.sg. The 7 horses are not meant for you to box all 7 horses but to use the 1st pick(unless I recommend Dutch betting...then use 2 bankers but in doing so I will drop the 7th pick and use 2/6/6/6 for the quartet and the 1st 3 lines for the tierce.Of course if you do not have the budget you do not have to use all the 7 horses but drop the last few as they are given in order of merit. For Quadro play I suggest this combination for $24...3/3/6/6 .

I have yet to receive a reply from STC regarding my complaint on the "Dont Tell The Wife " posting in the Straits Times. To compound the matter they have added Tell A Tale as a Gold Cup preparation highlight but no searching qustions were asked regarding stablemate Flying Fulton's chances on the same day both horses were running in the same race.

I am bemused by the posting on thursday 29 September in the Straits Times advertorials on on hoper Clear For Action for Sunday's Panasonic Kranji Mile.At CR 74 he is clearly outclassed by a chasm of 44 points or 22kg in handicap but being a 4YO he gets a 0.5kg reprieve. I wonder who picks the interview ...the Trainer or the journalist? The Trainer would gladly wax lyrical about the hopeful chances of the horse with scope for improvement after some gear change but in the same breath tells you he is facing formidable opponents....this double talk only serves to confuse the unsuspecting horse racing enthusisast who is not experience enough to know he is being sold a "red herring" . i state clearly at the risk of getting egg on the face with bold statement. Clear For Action hasn't a ghost of making the top4 Quartet spots much less in winning the race. Imagine if this was to be an ordinary handicap race the horse will be carrying 36.5kg if there were to be no 50kg minimum weight limit. So caveat emptor for the poor Straits Times readers who were swayed by the article to consider putting a bet on longshot'Clear For Action" Although for Last Friday Ace Aliado was one of the respectable choice I did not buy into Laxon's comments when he sung like a canary and the public promptly acted on it and made Ace Aliado 3nd favourite and like a wild goose to the slaughter he promptly ran last to justify his 'red herring " tag. It is a indeed a strange phenomenon and co-incidence that of late these featured "red herrings" actually ran dead last(namely Don't Tell the Wife, Tell A Tale and Ace Aliado). To be fair Ace Aliado was a repectable choice before the results ere known but even in my late mail posting on 7naps I steadfastly placed Ace Aliado as 5th pick and even stated that Ghozi despite bleeding would fare better than him. If the STC is indifferent to these Mickey Mouse state of affairs why should I even bother to complain when the Club in disinterested in addressing this problem(I believe non action from STC has emboldened them to continue on the merry ways with the recent postings on Tell A tale and Clear For Action). I am sure of one thing despite his humble rating Clear For Action will not run last as he is a sound and young improving horse but don't bet against him being placed in the bottom half of the field....he would have done extremely well if he ran 5th! After all who benefits when this "red herrings" are being trumpeted and highlighted...7naps and starstaz Racing readers of course as I will steer them hopefully towards more winners whose prices will be better as a result of these postings( I will have my fair of misses as well) away from the highlight postings in the Straits Times. I HOPE THE sTRAITS tIMES JOUIRNALISTS CONSULT A FENG SHUI EXPERT AS INEVITABLY BASED ON PAST RECORD ONE OF THEM PICKS THE WINNER BUT BY A STRANGE CO-INCIDENCE THE WINNER IS FEATURED IN SMALL PRINT BELOW WHILE THE NON WINNING HORSE IS FEATURED IN BOLD HEADLINES.lET'S HOPE THEY WILL HAVE A CHANGE OF LUCK IN THE LAST QUARTER OF THIS YEAR.

When I recommend Dutch betting it means That i recommend play on both horses and if you find the longshot too wild I suggest you play my 2nd pick which is likely to be a favourite or top 2 favourite.DUE TO RACE DATELINE i SHALL POST THE LATER RACES AFTER THE START OF RACE 1.These are my picks:-

I have yet to receive a reply from STC regarding my complaint on Craig Brennan's posting om Don't Tell The Wife. Let's see if they respond by end of the month or are they indifferent to mystifying postings which have no relevance to the "winning process. Their lounges everywhere have the winning factor in all their names but The advertorials in the Straits Times have forgotten this important aspect and continue to dawdle on Tell A Tale's preparation for the Gold Cup. On a day when the Committee Prize is being run what is the relevance of Tell A Tale 's Gold Cup preparations when his stablemate Flying Fulton is a strong favourite for the Prize. Even if the Trainer had not mentioned Flying Fulton's chances shouldnt the interviewer ask that question regarding Flying Fulton's chances? Shouldn't that article be done on Gold Cup Day if the journalist thinks highly of Tell A Tale's chances? What is the relevance of Tell A Tale's preparation on the day that the Committee Prize Race is being run...with a big headline(despite comments he is not race ready and needs a run to improve further)on Tell A Tale it might make a reader confused and make him to put a bet on no hoper(no form horse)Tell A Tale before the race starts. Wouldn't my suggested headline "Mike Walker tells a tale on Flying Fulton" have been better? If the writer does not know how to make full use of prime advertorial space to promote the interests of racing as a priority I believe this type of recalcitrant posting should not be encouraged and The STC should rein him in and give the space to some other deserving writer like Andrew Frost , Tan Thean Loon or Larry Foley or even get the pre-eminent Benny Ortega out of retirement( I am sure part-time posting will not endanger his health as he is still fit and full of passion for healthy racing practices. It is STC perogative if it decides to ignore my complaint and let the writer continue without checks. Racing will be the poorer for it but I am sure my readers will benefit when i warn them before the race starts(anybody can be wise after the event)and who knows the dividends will be better when my selection differs from the Straits Times advertorials.

I strongly believe STC should rein in the writers or at least to teach them to ask the Trainers relevant questions and focus on race day towards the winning process even though they may be shoo-in favourites like Rocket Man or Super Easy and make them tip 3 other horses(standard practice in media circles) for the Quartet. Any other articles which are not geared to the winning process should be shelved to non-race days or just be posted on STC website. This is the 2nd time I have pointed out before the start of race(hence with moral authority ) that the Straits Times advertorials are putting a headline(despite content indicating horse is not ready) or a no hoper horse. It is even mopre outrageous when the same Trainer has another runner in the race but nothing positive is written about the chances of the favourite who eventually won! Is this the right way to promote racing? Maybe we should rename the Straits Times advertorials Tall Tales from STC or "Red Herrings Highlight for the day" or "Wild Geese 3 "or my favourite "Highlights on graveyard bets for no hopers" as the track record pre-July seems indicative and the latest posting makes me feel they are petulant and not at all embarrassed in repeat infractions to keep Racing in place as the poorer cousin of Ms Casino.

If STC can't be bothered to improve the direction and performances of it's write up towards the winning process why should I bother. I don't believe in beating and betting) on dead horses so I will leave them in peace and leave them to their indifference. I can only pray that somebody in the corridors of Power acts on it one day when they read my articles and do something about it for the good of Racing.

It is not all gloom and doom at the turf Club and I applaud their efforts to improve racing in other aspects and kudos to those who initiated the Trackus tracking systems so aficianados and passionate fans like me can make better use of sectional times. Racing Guide has announced they will embrace the technology but i do hope they will post the 1st and last 400M as well as the 600M in future. From Punters Way I have yet to hear about their held back innovations that they will implement. Instead of moaning how complex the Court Case versus Racing Guide is that in the final analysis they lost....and justice prevailed and the travesty of the 1st ruling was upheld by the Court of Appeal. I say to Punters Way...no point crying over spilt milk ....move on as they wont get any sympathy from me....use the space to promote racing and start implementing your new innovations or you will left behind and no longer be number....it is easy to be number one but harder to stay on top. Do not rest on your past laurels but continue to innovate and you might keep your coveted top spot! I believe healthy competition will be good for the racing industry and i hope both race books will continue to innovate and help their readers to get more winners and forget about civil suits and put the past behind them

My preparation has not been dilligent but i hope to get by with a heavy dependance on Magic moreira and my trackwatcher. My exotic bet picks will be slightly below par but my 1st picks should deliver. I expect Moreira to go on a scoring spree and deliver a bounty of winners with some minor placings. Don't forget Duric who will have his fair share of winners

With the benefit of Mike Walker's warning that Tell A Tale is well short of match practice I believe the headline should have read " Mike Walker set to tell a tale(notice that the name is in small print)on Flying Fusion. Either Craig Brennan is having a stroke of genius with an inspired winning pick or as I strongly believe he is trying to sell the script for a new movie called "wild geese 3". There are 2 standout bets today in Race 5 and Race 7. If u are ahead in profits upgrade race 2 n 9 to big bets as well. The rain soaked track as well! The rain soaked track will improve the chances of front runners and on pace runners especially in slow pace races.Today's top race is a better play than the Committee Prize on 18th September 2011.For a detailed analysis of race 5 please check out my posting on www.7naps.com under sub-heading of Singapore Nap. If any reader is interested in a late mail service do contact me at insiders111@yahoo.com.sg for further details. My selections today are:- Race 1 medium 8-4-10-7....pace good. Race 2 medium 3-9-1-4 pace fast to good. Race 3 medium 2-5-8-1 Pace slow to good. Race 4 token bet 4-8-12-3...... Most open race of the day.... Suggest skip this race. There are some gems that are playable today. I have received objective critical (which I accept and acknoledge) feedback that Igive to many tips tagged "BIG" and some of them do flop badly. I shall endeavour to be more judicious this week and tag them as big only If I was willing to put my own money and be selective in which races I choose to play. For the detailed analysis of my 2nd best bet of the day of One More Minute in Race 9 do check out my posting on the international website at www.7naps.com under the flag of Singapore Nap. If you are playing HKG races do check out their selections as they have completed a good season with high return of investments.

Pace will be a vital factor in determining the outcome of today's races especially in Race 3 and Race 7 where the pace will be very fast with 5 front running types. The horses off the pace or drawn inside have fair chances but those drawn outside will find it hard to make an impact in the top3. The other races will be slow or very slow by comparison and the Winners should come from the top half of the field or those leading from the start..

If you have a tight budget I suggest playing in Races 3-5-7-9. If you have a liberal budget include Races 4 and 8. I suggest token betting in the rest of the races or skip entirely for these races.

My selections are :-

RACE 1 SMALL... 12-9-11-7...MUST COVER 9...VALUE BET OF THE DAY...PACE VERY SLOW

RACE 2 SMALL...9-7-1-4...OPEN RACE ...UNKNOWN EXPENSIVE HORSES WITH SEEMININGLY POOR RECENT FORM MAY SURPRISE WITH 7 THE MAIN DANGER...PACE SLOW

RACE 3 BIG...7-5-6-4...PACE VERY FAST

RACE 4 MEDIOUM 3-7-11-6...CAN UPGRADE TO BIG IF UP...PACE SLOW

RACE 5 BIG... 8-7-2-3....BEST BET OF THE NIGHT ...BEST QUARTET.PACE SLOW. 8 IS THE BAS THE BEST HR AND SF FIGURES...SIRE ONLY WON ONLY AT 1100M AND 1200M BUT DISTANCE NOT A PROBLEM AS GRANDSIRE REDOUBTE'S CHOICE IS A MILER....PACE SLOQ

RACE 6 SMALL 6-11-3-12 PACE VERY SLOW

RACE 7 BIG...2-3-6-7....BEST LONGSHOT OF THE NIGHT...CAN COVER 3...I BELIEVE FAVOURITE 5 WILL FLOP OR PLACE AT BEST...BEST VALUE FORECAST OF THE NIGHT
PACE VERY FAST ...WILL SUIT 2 AND 3 WHO COME OFF THE PACE

RACE 8 MEDIUM 6-8-4-2....PACE SLOW

Here is an extract from my posting on Singapore Nap

Singapore Nap
4 September 2011
Better Than Ever (x2)
Race 9 JUMBO JET TROPHY-SINGAPORE GROUP 3
1400M SHORT COURSE A
STAKES $200,000

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

BREAKING NEWS!!! Singapore Nap edges ahead by a short head from Andrew Frost
in the strike rate challenge with 22 wins/22 placings from 70 selections with a
31.43% strike rate .
Andrew Frost is in 2nd with 202 wins from 658 selections and looks on course to
break Racing Guide's
record of 256 wins last season albeit from less number of races. Even if I do
beat (trust me it won't be easy) Frosty in this challenge
I cannot steal his thunder and glory for his full card campaign for his stellar
consistent performances

throughout the year.
Least I be accused of an unfair advantage by not tipping the full card let me
reiterate the conditions

under which Singapore Nap operates...we are obliged to tip the top class race of
the day and at most 2 races
if they are of the same value.. Unlike the Straits Times advertorials i am not
allowed to tip
any race of the day. If this is the case all I have to do is to pick the Rocket
Man, Better Than Ever and Super Easy

races and I will score above 50% and easily steal the top strike rate honours.
By the fact that the various race books and various publications are rolled out
on different days already

makes the competition an unfair but we make do with the circumstances that we
perform under.
Even Singapore Nap with its early morning race posting suffers in comparison to
Starstatz Racing

which is like its late mail (with superior performanmces) and has access to track
watch reports which
SINgapor eid not privy t0. A fine example is the posting on Singapore Nap which
left out number 1 ...My Son for the top 7

Quartet selections . Despite that I am proud our readers if they had followed
the advice given closely
would have reaped a profit on the win on Clear For Action, the one win loss but
nultiple pacing oin Moon"{s Fairy

(number 10 which paid $18 for a placing we also garnered a $21 forecast and $8
pft with the 4#10-2 suggestion of an

investment of $4 . In addition we scored on the $122 tierce with a
recommendation of 4/10/field and 4/field /10.
The readers of Starstatz Racing enjoyed a better deal after track watch imput
when we selected 4-10-2-1-6 including
5-11. Although we missed the direct quartet we achieved a near perfect score
when they read in the correct order
with only 2 disappointing but still made the quintet cut if there was a
dividend! Despite doing par for the course Starstatz Racing

fans were rewarded with specific instruction which made a profit in 3 of the
races(have overall profit assuming we lost in the remaining races.

My preparation has been fair doung only basic handicap rating and speed figure
only for the top contenders so there wouldn't be much longshots or surprises
tonight except for the minor placings. Tipsters should generally do well today
and I expect most of us to clear the 3 win hurdle mark with a couple of
shoo-ins. I noticed Michael Lee has maintained a steady aim to continue his
winning streak with a shoo-in pick on Ip Man. I dont begrudge him for selecting
favourites but isn't this much better guidance for the newbies who read the
Straits Times then to send ST readers chasing wild geese no hopers with their
pre-July performance of below 25%(very likely below 20%...perhaps STC should
clarify their 1st half of season scores in case we have a wrong impression.
Surely this is the way to promote racing to ST readers instead of promoting dead
ducks like Dont Tell the Wife who had zero chances in WFA races against the "BIG
GUNS" even though sometimes these big guns did not deliver a win.

Kudos to STC for introducing the Trackus system which will help aficianados of
sectional times like myself...no more tedious manual calculations and burning
the midnight oil to get superior handicap data not available to the general
market.

I hope STC does not just implement the system and leave it alone. They should
ensure that post-race sectional times data is duly captured on their website and
particularly the leading Race Books like Racing Guide and Punters Way be
suitably encouraged with advertising support by STC to incorporate these new
sectional times data into their format(no more suing of each other and just do
it please!). I suspect that the SPH Mandarin publications will embrace sectional
times later rather than sooner as there is a dearth of handicap material in
Mandarin explaining the use of sectional times as a handicapping tool. STC
should conduct promotions to educate the media and the racing public in general.
Even I myself have yet to master this subject ...do I use 1st and last 400M or
do I use 600M?...what if there is no 400M call time(what shall I do...at the
moment I average the 300M and 500M call time and divide by 2). This system will
be perfect to enhance my capabilities as a leading pundit and make me a serious
contender for top strike rate internet/media tipster for this year and give
Frosty a run for his money. I will still have to (willingly) acknowledge Frosty
as the Champion Media Tipster for this year even though the race has not ended
yet and leave the rest to fight out the minor placings.

I hope STC learns the lessons from the introduction of Quadro betting where the
supporting literature on pricing of quadro bets was very rudimentary and go onto
educate the ordinary punter into a serious horse racing enthisiast with some
basic handicap knowledge instead of just following market tips.

Kudos to the STC Top Management for being brave enough to take this expensive
and bold step forward to improve Singapore racing. Let's hope the STC middle
management do their part and follow up with promotions and literature to support
this new product.

My selections TODAY COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO BET THE RACES WITH A SMALL
BUDGET.Assuming we lost in all races we would have scored on win/place betting and
forecast/place forecast . In addition the Race 1 tierce of $168...the race 4
tierce of $333
and the Race 7 tierce of $122 , Quartet of $1213 and the Quadro of $238 for
modest sums using 4 as a banker and 10-2 as key horses.
Of course not everyday is a profitable day and good winning days come by not
too often . Do let me point out that on 7naps i am in very illustrious comapany
of horse racing experts who provide one free tip per race day and most of them
are showing impressive return on investments for 13.55% and 34.56% ROI.
Singapore Nap is the 2nd worst performer with a loss of minus 13.46% . I
recommend STC to follow this format based on dividends next year.Starstatz
Racing(it does not tip every race day but it is required to tip the full card of
races for that day) is in 3rd with 75 wins from 257 selections for a strike rate
of 29.18% edging Tan Thean Loon on 191 wins for a strike rate of 29.03%. I
suppose to claim due credit i must push Starstatz Racing to beat Frosty's score
to gain the respoect of the racing fraternity
as all of us operate under differing conditions. also understand some of the
tipsters have to double up and tip Malaysian racing as well.
This makes it a tight schedule for the various reporters to devote more research
before they make their final selction.
For the Straits Times advertorials Craig did not tip and remains at 7 wins from
16 selections for a strike rate of 41.18% and Michael Lee is now on 8 wins from
16 selections for a 50% strike rate.

Let me pay a tribute to the late Dr Yap ...the original Owner of Jumbo
Jet..."May Singapore Racing have more Owners who have the passion and enjoy
the excitement and pleasure of owning a Champion racehorse like our great JUmbo
Jet"

PREVIEW OF RACE
With some doubt on Jamal Mali's form I am predicting that this WFA is likely to
result in the top 4 horses finishing in the order of their
saddlecloth numbers. Even If I am wrongI still expect 1 or 2(less likely but
must drop in body weight) to win and 2 and 3 to be key horses

in making the 2nd spot and the remaining top 7 saddlecloth numbers with 8 and 9
out of their depth with their low rating....
imagine Primary school students running against University students. The chasm in
class of 31 pooints or 15.5kg and 23 points or 11.5 kg
makes it a tall order for 8 and 9 to have any impact in this Group 3 Race.
The pace will be slow with 2 getting the rails run form the only other front
runner 6. 1 and 3 will be in the box seat with the rest of the on pace

runners with 8 the only off pace runner bring up the rear.
Their ratings for HR(handicap ratings) and SF Speed figures are as follows:-

1) HR 119.3/ SF 1:21.32

2) HR 114.8 / SF 1:22.76

3) HR114/SF 1:23.2

4) HR 108.7(1600M)/ SF1:22.25

5) HR108.37/SF 1:22.49

6) HR109/SF 1:22.54

7) HR106.6/ SF 1:23.6

8) HR105.9(1200M POLY)/ SF 1:22.98

9) HR104.77/ SF 1:22.75

Our dear BTE has played bridesmaid 3 times and seems to have suffered air
sickness in travelling overseas but his recent barrier trial
under a tight hold seems to dispel our fears and he should be back at his best
to show his true potential although World Class he may not be.

In order my selections are 1-2-3-4-5-6-7. Be prepared to uprade 7 to 5th choice
if his body weight goes up by 5-10kg. I recko it is safe to use 1
as a banker and 2 and 3 as safe key bets on the 2nd line in the exotics with the
remainder on the 3rd and 4th lines if you have a limited bufget.

If the body weight of 2 trims down further do put a $10 cover on 2/1/3-4-5-6-7
on tierce. Bet big win only on BTE and cover some tickets only on one
win/multiple placings if hus body weight improves and reduces further.

My work today is adequate even making use of sectional times in certain races so I should give a good account of myself with some good price dividends.

STARSTATZ RACING 02 SEPTEMBER 2011

My preparation has been fair doung only basic handicap rating and speed figure only for the top contenders so there wouldn't be much longshots or surprises tonight except for the minor placings. Tipsters should generally do well today and I expect most of us to clear the 3 win hurdle mark with a couple of shoo-ins. I noticed Michael Lee has maintained a steady aim to continue his winning streak with a shoo-in pick on Ip Man. I dont begrudge him for selecting favourites but isn't this much better guidance for the newbies who read the Straits Times then to send ST readers chasing wild geese no hopers with their pre-July performance of below 25%(very likely below 20%...perhaps STC should clarify their 1st half of season scores in case we have a wrong impression. Surely this is the way to promote racing to ST readers instead of promoting dead ducks like Dont Tell the Wife who had zero chances in WFA races against the "BIG GUNS" even though sometimes these big guns did not deliver a win.

Kudos to STC for introducing the Trackus system which will help aficianados of sectional times like myself...no more tedious manual calculations and burning the midnight oil to get superior handicap data not available to the general market.
I hope STC does not just implement the system and leave it alone. They should ensure that post-race sectional times data is duly captured on their website and particularly the leading Race Books like Racing Guide and Punters Way be suitably encouraged with advertising support by STC to incorporate these new sectional times data into their format(no more suing of each other and just do it please!). I suspect that the SPH Mandarin publications will embrace sectional times later rather than sooner as there is a dearth of handicap material in Mandarin explaining the use of sectional times as a handicapping tool. STC should conduct promotions to educate the media and the racing public in general. Even I myself have yet to master this subject ...do I use 1st and last 400M or do I use 600M?...what if there is no 400M call time(what shall I do...at the moment I average the 300M and 500M call time and divide by 2). This system will be perfect to enhance my capabilities as a leading pundit and make me a serious contender for top strike rate internet/media tipster for this year and give Frosty a run for his money. I will still have to (willingly) acknowledge Frosty as the Champion Media Tipster for this year even though the race has not ended yet and leave the rest to fight out the minor placings.
I hope STC learns the lessons from the introduction of Quadro betting where the supporting literature on pricing of quadro bets was very rudimentary and go onto educate the ordinary punter into a serious horse racing enthisiast with some basic handicap knowledge instead of just following market tips.
Kudos to the STC Top Management for being brave enough to take this expensive and bold step forward to improve Singapore racing. Let's hope the STC middle management do their part and follow up with promotions and literature to support this new product.
