In the ad hoc internet/print media challenge we managed to score 4 wins and 2 wins for 31January and 03 February 2010 for a tally of 6 wins. For 03 February HKG races Phillip Woo writing for Newpaper had 3wins , Starstatz and Racing Guide had 2 wins @ and Punters Way and Ma Tat and Sagacity writing a column for Punters Way had 1 win @. The tally after 2 race days is Racing Guide had 7 wins from 18 races, Starstatz and Phillip Woo had 6 wins, Punters Way had 4 wins, Sagacity and Ma Tat had 2 wins. Go slow in the early races and start investing more from race 3 onwards iof you are winning. I may not be able to cover HKG racing on a regular basis but you can use it as a guide if you are going to the races today.
My selections are :-
RACE 1 HAPPY SUNDAY...SMALL...10-7-3-9...MOST OPEN RACE OF THE DAY WHICH I BELIEVE WILL BE WON BY A CLASS 3 OR CLASS 4 DROPPER RATEHER THAN A HOVERING IN THE CLASS 5 RANGE AND 10 HAS DROPPED FROM A HIGH RATING OF CR 60 TO HIS PRESENT LEVEL...THE EXPECTED SLOW PACE WILL SUIT ALTHOUGH 7 LOOKS IN TERRIFIC FORM DURING HIS RECENT TRIAL BUT HE IS NOT LIKELY TO GET A RAILS RUN AND WILL BE TRAPPED 3 OR 4 WIDE. iN THE EVENT HE CAN JUMP 1ST OR 2ND THAN HE MIGHT OVERCOME THE BAD BARRIER AND WIN.MY OVERALL ADVICE IS TO SKIP THIS RACE.
RACE 2 MILLION DARLING...MEDIUM...8-3-6-2...CAN CONSIDER COVER ON 3...VALUE BET OF THE NIGHT AS MOST WOULD CONSIDER HIM A RISKY UNKNOWN BUT MY REPORTS ON HIS TRIALS AND TRACKWORK INDICATE HE IS A PROMISING SORT IN THIS WEAK FIELD.
RACE 3 GOLDEN BAUHINA...BIG...1-11-6-10...BEST BET OF THE NIGHT
RACE 4 IMPLIED VOTALITY...BIG ...4-11-8-12...CAN CONSIDER TOKEN COVER ON 11 AS A LONGSHOT
RACE 5 O'REILLY MAGIC...BIG...6-7-2-4...CAN CONSIDER TOKEN COVER ON 7
RACE 6 NEW CHAPTER...MEDIUM...9-7-12-5...CAN CONSIDER COVER ON 7
RACE 7 ELEGANT WIN...BIG... 7-11-5-4
RACE 8 HOLEY DOLLAR...MEDIUM...11-10-8-12....10 IS A CLASS ACT BEING A GRP 1 PLACED HORSE BUT WILL NEED A HOT PACE TO OVERWHELM THIS LOT. HIS BREEDING SUGGESTS HE M,AY NEED THE EXTRA 200m TO DO WELL.
PRIMARILY I DO NOT EXPECT TO STRIKE THE TIERCE/QUARTET WWITH ONLY 4 SELECTIONS BUT DO USE MY 2ND ,3RD, AND 4TH CHOICES AS KEY SELECTIONS ON THE 2ND AND 3RD LINES COUPLED WITH SOME OF YOUR OTHER OWN PERSONAL
