BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The full card Challenge is getting tight and exciting and I am glad to to report that Racing Guide (my tip to win the Challenge this year ) has squeezed into a narrow lead over Xiu Fang with a one point lead with 84 wins from 274 selections(30.66%) and Xiu Fang is on 83 wins with a 30.29% strike rate and Ma Hui and Mr X are hot on their heels with 82 wins for a for a 29.93% strike rate and Tan Thean Loon makes the Top 5 with 77 wins for a 28.1% strike rate.

Meanwhile in the BIG RACE CHALLENGE BMW ( Benny's Masterclass Wins) is out in front with 11 wins from 28 selections for a 39.29% strike rate and Ma Chao is 2nd with 10 wins for a 35.71% strike rate and my Flagship blog Startstatz Racing is on joint 3rd with Mr X with 9 wins for a 32.14% strike rate and Singapore Nap is 5th on 8 wins for a 28.57% strike rate .,THE STRIKE RATE OF THE TOP 4 COMPARE FAVOURABLY WITH THE STRIKE RATE OF THE LEADING TIPSTERS IN THE FULL CARD CHALLENGE DESPITE THE ABSENCE OF MANY FAVOURITES ENTERING THE WINNERS" CIRCLE!

I have a complaint against the STC executive who gave the names for today's races and that they should be more conscious and attentive to what they are doing in naming of races today...an example will be Race 5 the race at the distance of 2000M by calling it Rocket Man 2009 Stakes....it is as if this executive does not have a clue as to the exploits of Rocket Man ! To reiterate the point what would you think of calling a 1000 M race the El Dorado Stakes! Should we be calling a Sprint Race the Rocket Man Stakes and a distance race at 2000M and above the El Dorado stakes!'

TODAY'S RACE IS WIDE OPEN WITH 5 SERIOUS CONTENDERS BUT THE SCRATCHING OF VALEVOLE WOULD HELP THE CAUSE OF EMERALD HILL WHO WILL BE HELPED BY THE EXPECTED SLOW PACE AND THE SHORT COURSE HOME STRAIGHT! I am now hedging my bets as Martincho Cat is only 4th in my  list of my trackwatchers' reports. i AM NOW SWITCHING TO EMERALD HILL ( slow pace and short straight and he will win if he gets the rails run!)FOR THE SELECTION BY STARSTATZ RACING BUT I FANCY AN OPEN RACE WITH EQUAL CHANCES WITH 2 AND 5 AND 8 FIGHTING IT OUT FOR THE WINNER'S LAUREL!

Martincho Cat (untested over turf) and Masthead have the best HR in this race followed by by 9-2-5 among the in form contenders but the expected slow pace will be unfavourable but he has a serious chance if the pace is fast and furiousbut hos poor strike rate pales on comparison to Emerald Hill at 71.43% and El Milagro at 46.67% who did an impressive Barrier trial at 60.1seconds by 3 lengths winning unextended but his HR is weaker than the rest as he is up in the Handicap Ratings !

If Martincho Cat saddles up on turf he could follow alongside Emerald Hill and find cover in his slipstream at the 1st turn  Martincho Cat has a HR of 105.1 and an extrapolated SF of 1:8.73 and has the best 1200M Poly sectionals at 47.238 compared to Emerald Hill at HR 99.97 ...SF at 1:08.933 and sectionals  at 47.314. Masthead is the only proven Turf horse but has a poor strike rate of 12.5% but has the best HR of 105.7...SF on turf actual at 1:09.283 and extrapolated at 1:09.357 and poly sectionals at 47.924.On stats alone as a Turf specialist he is the standout turf horse but I fear he is not as classy as the rest based on strike rates. Makkura is on HR 104.4 ...SF poly at 1:09.133 ...sectionals at 47.688. El Milagro might just win this race alone on his impressive Barrier Trails but his figures are generally weaker than the rest despite hiss favourable middle draw with HR at 99.5 SF poly at 1:09.643 and sectionals at 47.876.

I suggest a token bet on win/place only on EMERALD HILLand a 5 horse box if you have the budget for tierce and quartet on 2-5-8-7-9  and add optional on 10-12  in order at to make the top7. . Try for forecast/place forecast box on 2#5#8 . Keep your serious moolah inveatments for Sunday on Better Life who races well when fresh with the handicap ratings in her favour!
