This is the 1st time I've had the opportunity to use sectional in all the races with the exception of Race 2...let's see if it translates into a higher strike rate.The race tagged big and medium are good plays today...The direct forecast using the top 2 and sometimes using the 1st choice and rub with 2nd and 3rd choices will be a good play today as most field are a tussle between 2 or 3 horses at most! Today should also see one of the new apprentices breaking the duck with a breakthrough win today!

With the heavy downpour and the last minute tactical jockey change from a winless jockey to a senior claimer and the fact that the son of O'Reilley will relish the wet track conditions and give a good account of himself. His trackform has been quiet and most tipsters have ignored him completely ...I suggest a strong cover bet on number 7 Hammer Down and a good bet on 10#7-9 for forecast/pft... If I was a bagman I will swallow Excavator for a free dinner not to win this race! This is a good example of what a late mail should be like...making use of late information before making a decision! I am not an expert on body condition in paddock but the 14kg drop is an indication that the NZ group 3 winner will run well and either make the forecast or even upset Mr BIG as he has done speed figures below 1:09.0 in NZ when he lost to the filly Magic Briar in blacktype races
